xxxx,
It’s good to hear from you, and thank you for the kind words.
I do think Esther is a great Rapture model to study. I’ve studied this quite a bit and I’ve received multiple questions today regarding Esther. We are all looking and I agree that we should all help each other learn. I think of this as round-tabling a subject.
My opinion is that it is “key” right now for us to look at Esther being called up, more so than when she has to go in before the king. Esther is a Jew, disguised as a Gentile in a foreign land, who also is an orphan and not a “likely” Queen candidate. I think Vashti is a good representative of the false Church and Satan and that God will depose them and call for an “Esther” replacement. My belief is that this is when we will go to heaven. Later, we will need to intercede as Esther did on the 30 days of not being called before the king and then 3 days fast. There is some very big significance here. Jesus did not get called by the King until age 30 and then had 3 years of ministry and then rose on the third day. Since we are all mini-models of Jesus and he is our ultimate intercessor that at some point in heaven we will be called to go into the King and intercede. Remember it was Mordecai who tells Esther that she was called up for such a time as this. We too, will be called up for such a time as the end of times, as Haman is a type of Satan and also anti-christ.
As far as timing I do have some observations:
16So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus to his royal palace in the tenth month which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
Tebeth (Tevet) starts on December 22nd. King Xerxes (Ahasuerus) surely stands for Jesus. If we can speculate that 2007 may be the 7th year of Jesus’ reign then maybe this could be around the first of the year, which is still Tebeth, yet it will be 2007.
Esther Becomes Queen
17The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she found favor and kindness with him more than all the virgins, so that (P)he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.
18Then (Q)the king gave a great banquet, Esther's banquet, for all his princes and his servants; he also made a holiday for the provinces and gave gifts (R)according to the king's bounty.
Notice that the king gave a great banquet and gave gifts. This makes me think that it may potentially be around Christmas, which is also possible. Although, if the gift giving started on Christmas Eve and the banquet lasted 7 days (the king did throw a 7 day banquet for Vashti and the Jewish wedding custom was 7 days), then that would put us at New Years Eve. There is no more watched midnight hour than New Years Eve. It certainly doesn’t have to happen this way, but it would make quite a splash if people “disappeared” on New Years Eve. With all the live television coverage it would be quite a witness. Hmmm…
We won’t know for sure, until it happens, unless he chooses to warn us or reveal it to us. He has commanded us to watch, so watch we will. I am watching December 22nd with a close eye as well. If something significant happens that day, depending on what it is, my heart will be racing quite fast!
If it’s okay I’m going to post some of this stuff on fivedoves and the Blog section of my website so we can all continue to brainstorm.
Let me know your thoughts. (I have some really good personal testimony that leads me to look at the end of the month as well).
Blessings,
Tony
